Mrs. Lillian Josephine Griffin Ellis, 78, died Friday Aug. 22, 2003 in a Jay hospital. She was a native of Castleberry and a life-long resident of Brewton. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brewton and a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Billy Ray Ellis of Fredericksburg, Va. and Ronald Ellis of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Joyce McMath of Columbus, Ga. and Susan Wiggins of Bay Minette; two sisters, Vada Travis of Birmingham and Edna Whitaker of Montgomery; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 24, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Seventy Wayne Ellis officiating. Burial followed at Catawba Springs Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
