White top at recent Bassmaster tourney

The Brewton Bassmasters recently held a tournament at Ellis Landing. Some 24 people fished the tournament with 64 fish being caught during the event with a total weight of 117.67 pounds.
The first place fisherman was Lavon White who caught five fish with a total weight of 17.54 pounds. Second place went to Dale Westmoreland who also caught five fish with a total weight of 11.43 pounds. Third place winner was Travis Glidden with five fish at 11.40 total pounds. The Lunker Award went to Lamon Reaves with 4.17 pounds.
Leading in points for the season is Brian Moye, who has fished in 12 tournaments this year.
He has earned his points by catching 57 fish with a total weight of 120.43. The largest fish caught weighed 4.98 pounds. In this tournament, Moye caught 11.15 pounds of fish.
The second place points position is held by Lavon White with 19 points.
White participated in 12 tournaments this year and has caught 53 fish. Total weight for the year for White is 94.74 pounds.
In the third place position Danny Parker fished in 12 tournaments this year catching 53 fish for a total of 92.17 pounds.
Final standings leave Brian Moye in first place with Lavon White in second and Danny Parker coming in third.
There will be a meeting Monday, Sept. 15 to discuss the Kids Fishing Rodeo which is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 11.
There are 24 fishermen on the tournament roster for the Brewton Bassmasters group.
