Brewton attorney Bob Presto has completed his second novel entitled "The Number Thirteen," which is a fictional psychological thriller set along the Eastern Seaboard.
Earlier this year, Presto published his first book, "The Presumption," a legal murder mystery based in Huntsville, Ala., and has since appeared at numerous book signing events in Huntsville at Barnes and Noble and other locations. He also participated as a vendor in Brewton's 2003 Blueberry Festival and Atmore's Mayfest.
He began work on "The Number Thirteen" in late February of this year and finished the 419 page book earlier this month.
Presto described "The Number Thirteen" as a tale of a serial killer's quest to prove his intellectual superiority over those who struggle to end his campaign of terror, and the one man who may have the only chance to prevent his final murder.
Presto has already begun conceptual work on his third novel, which is to be called "The Scintilla Principle." He has been invited back to Barnes and Noble for additional book signings concerning his latest Oct. 24 and Nov. 2. He has likewise accepted invitations from other retailers for signing appearances at their locations later in Nov. and Dec. Additional signing events are being scheduled out-of-state. He will be at the Brewton Public Library with both of his novels Nov. 6, where he will speak, give a reading from "The Number Thirteen", and answer questions.
