Mrs. Emerald Kathleen Smith Findley, 74, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003 in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County. She was of the Baptist faith and a retired inspector from Monsanto with 27 years of service.
She is survived by two sons, Glenn Findley of Brewton and Joe Findley of Mobile; one daughter, Patricia Langham of Semmes; two brothers, Jack Smith of Brewton and Joel Smith of Atmore; two sisters, Goldie McLain of Foley and Jewel Busby of Mobile; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 23, at 1 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Allan Eldridge officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
