Mr. Preston McKinley Lambeth, 78, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003 at his residence in Flomaton. He was a member of the Flomaton community all of his life. He had worked for Brown and Root Construction as an equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Iver Lambeth and two brothers, Crumpton Lambeth and Burnace Lambeth.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Eunice Lambeth of Flomaton; a son, Hollis Bell of Flomaton; a daughter, Linda Steadham of Flomaton; five brothers, Marvin Lambeth, James Lambeth, Millard Lambeth and Bob Lambeth, all of Flomaton and Bill Lambeth of Brewton; two sisters, Codie Wedgeworth and Teresa Smith, both of Flomaton; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter; one step-granddaughter one step-grandson; two sisters-in-law and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leo Kent and Rev. Donnie Bowman officiating. Burial followed at Boutwell/Lambeth Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Phillip Lambeth, Ricky Lambeth, Larry Lambeth, Randy Lambeth, Darryl Lambeth and Bernie McCorkel.
