Leo Joseph Naquin, 70, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 at his residence. He was a native of Raceland, La. and had been a resident of Houma, La. before moving to Castleberry in the 1970s. He served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army and worked as a consultant for the oil field industry. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Flomaton. He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver L. Naquin; his wife, Willie Mae Naquin and his step-daughter, Mary Jane Lacy.
He is survived by his mother, Alline R. Naquin of Houma, La.; his fiancee, Janice Pettis of Castleberry; one son, Chris Naquin of Houma; one daughter, Tammy Fanguy of Houma and one step-son, Earnie Downing of Brewton; one brother, Norris Naquin of Houma; four sisters, Patsy Duhon of Belton, Mo., Audrey Herbert of Gentry, Ark., Mary Ann Foret and Sharlene Naquin, both of Houma; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Flomaton with Rev. Tim Boggs officiating. Burial followed in Rock Creek Cemetery in Flomaton with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
