Mr. Richard Keith "Rick" Lucas Sr., 33, of the Damascus community, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003. He was a native and life-long resident of Brewton. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church, a 1989 graduate of W.S. Neal High School and a welder in the construction industry.
He is survived by his parents, Mayhew and Frances Lucas of Damascus; a son, Richard Keith "R.J." Lucas Jr. of Bluff Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Wendy West of Brewton and Kristy Lucas of Damascus; his grandmothers, Avis Lucas of Damascus and Annie Lou Godwin of Brewton and several other relatives.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Bert Bounds officiating. Burial followed at Damascus Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
