Mr. Henry J. Wesson, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003 at his residence. He was a native of La. and grew up in Brewton. He was a graduate of Auburn University, veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle where he served for many years as Deacon and teacher. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ella V. Wesson.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Wesson of Hartselle; a son, Robert Edward Wesson of Hartselle; a daughter, Jane Turney of Hartselle; two grandsons; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Hartselle with Dr. Jeff Redmond and Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating. Burial followed at Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Randy Maner, Joe Howell, Roger Chapman, Charles Quinn, Tommy Dunlap and Steve McKee.
