Greenville uses big second half to earn other spot in title game

Like T.R. Miller, the Greenville Tigers overcame a first half deficit in their 82-61 semifinal win over the Flomaton Hurricanes 82-61 Friday.
In a battle between the two teams with the best records in the tournament, Flomaton (10-2) had a 17-13 lead after one period before Greenville rallied to take a 32-31 edge at half-time.
The second half was all Greenville (8-3), as the Tigers outscored the Hurricanes 23-15 in the third quarter and 27-15 in the final frame.
Devoski McMeans led Greenville with 24 points, 11 of which came in the fourth quarter. Andrew Tomlin was right behind with 23.
Flomaton received 22 points from C.J. Williams and 16 more from Alphonso Wesley.

A quick start propelled the Mary Montgomery Vikings to a 54-40 riumph over the Pace (Fla.) Patriots in Friday's consolation bracket semifinal game.
The Vikings built a 17-8 advantage through one period and extended it to 32-16 by half-time en route to the win.
Maurice Calhoun led the Vikings with 18 points, while Marcus Coleman had 13. Brad Skipper tallied a team high 15 points for Pace, which slipped to 2-8 on the season.
