Mrs. Rachel Hadley Stewart, 78, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004 in Bay Minette. She was a native of McClaine, Miss. and a life-long resident of Stockton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ervin Hadley and a daughter, Marion Jean Hadley.
She is survived by two sons, Ernest Hadley and David Hadley, both of Stockton; two daughters, Doris Ramer and Elsie Bryars, both of Perdido; two brothers, Charlie David Harrison of Gulf Port, Miss. and William Harrison of Gulf Port, Miss.; two sisters, Eleanor Minchew of Mobile and Frances McDonald of Gulf Port; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two step-granddaughters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 3, at 2:30 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Harrison Steege officiating. Burial followed at Latham Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
