Julia McCurdy Wells

Mrs. Julia McCurdy Wells, 78, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004 in a local hospital. She was a life-long resident of Century and was of the Holiness faith. She was employed by Regis Paper Company for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Wells of Century; two daughters, Anice Bell of Flomaton and Anita Gatwood of Brewton; a brother, William McCurdy of Pensacola; two sisters, Luverne Woods and Elma Calloway, both of Pensacola; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 10, at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Wallace Reid officiating. Burial followed at McCurdy Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were David Alverson, David Odom, Jeff Nolin, D.C. Odom, Michael Grant, Billy Odom, Billy Cox and Tommy Ward.
