The Brewton Area YMCA's sports park has been prey to a string of vandalism incidents in the last year and a half, said YMCA executive director Dan Shaddock.
On Thursday, Jan. 15, Brewton City Police were called to investigate an incident at the park.
The vandals unsuccessfully tried to break into the concession stand and successfully broke open the door to a storage and equipment area, but nothing was stolen, Shaddock said.
Vandals tried to pry open a window and left pry marks on the door, said Lt. Randy Nicholson of the Brewton Police Department.
Previously, there has been a break-in at the concession stand and another break-in to the equipment area that caused $15,000 to $17,000 in damage.
No arrests have been made in connection with the three incidents.
