Mr. Dalton "Duck" Ivey, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Quitman, Miss. and a life-long resident of Brewton. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the oil field as a truck driver.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry Ivey of East Brewton and Earvin Ivey of Castleberry; two daughters, Delane Bryant of Baytown, Texas and Elizabeth Lucas of Brewton; one brother, Melvin Ivey of East Brewton; one sister, Jewel Chavers of Virginia; 13 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services with military honors will be held Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Quick officiating. Burial will follow at Glory Hill Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
