Mr. Marty Franklin, 45, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County, was of the Baptist faith and employed by Wiregrass Construction in the road construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Peavy Franklin of Brewton; his father, U.B. Franklin of Brewton; two sons, Jerry Dewayne Franklin and Randy Lee Franklin, both of Brewton and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 4, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Knowles officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
