Mrs. Rosa Mae Gibson Ellis, 96, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Escambia County and a long-time resident of Castleberry. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Irene Kennedy.
She is survived by a brother, Joe A. Gibson of Marion; a sister, Edith Simpson of Newburg, Ind.; one grandson; three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, March, 5, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Funeral Home chapel with Rev.David Gibson and Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial followed at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
