The new shopping center adjacent to Fred's in East Brewton is nearly complete, with its first tenant opening for business today.
Barbara Ann Properties, based in Little Rock, Ark., began construction on the shopping center in December of last year, said owner Michael Grapp/.
Nena's Place, a children's clothing store owned by Jennifer Howard, will open today. In addition to children's clothing and school uniforms, Nena's Place will offer Village Candles, candle accessories, gift items and sterling silver jewelry. Beginning April 19, airbrush tanning will be available at the store.
The 3,500 square foot shopping center has space for two more tenents, and Grapp/ expects to have those spaces filled by June.
One business Grapp/ is considering for the space is a DVD rental store.
