Mrs. Mary Lee Golden Cooley, 88, of Jay, Fla. died Friday, April 16, 2004 in a Pensacola hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Alabama and a life-long resident of Jay. She was a member of the Golden Memorial Holiness Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Cooley.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Kathryn Godwin and Margaret Sessions, both of Jay; a brother, Paul Golden of Jay; two sisters, Lizzie Kate Thomas and Ruby Strickland, both of Jay and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at the Golden Memorial Holiness Church with Brother G.W. Birdsong and Brother Jim Parkerson officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
