Mrs. Joyce Yvonne Richerson Pierce, 72, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004 in an Evergreen medical facility after an extended illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Conecuh County and owned/operated Pierce's Store in Lenox for 43 years. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Johnson of Brewton; a brother, William Robert Richerson of Lenox; a sister, Alice Baggett of Evergreen; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 22, at 2 p.m. at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church with Elder J.W. Andrews officiating. Burial followed at at the church cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
