Four juveniles arrested by Sheriff's Office

Investigators from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office have arrested four male juveniles from the Brewton area on multiple theft and auto burglary cases.
These juveniles were involved in several crimes in Escambia County and cases in the city of Brewton and East Brewton.
The Sheriff's Office received reports beginning Saturday about automobile burglaries, automobiles being stolen and returned, and a residential burglary in the same general area of Highway 31, north of Brewton. Combining information from each of the reports, investigators were able to identify a possible suspect who lived in the area near the old North Brewton Elementary School on Highway 31 north. Investigators attempted to locate this juvenile, but were unsuccessful on Monday.
Early Tuesday morning, a woman notified the Sheriff's Office that the juvenile officers were looking for was returning to his house.
Sheriff Grover Smith, Sgt. Monte McGougin and Deputy Jason Gleaton responded to the residence and located the juvenile. Several items of stolen property were recovered from the property. Two other male juvenile suspects were quickly identified and were picked up by other Sheriff's Office investigators. The two were picked up at a residence on Liles Street in East Brewton.
While interviewing the juveniles and other witnesses, investigators determined that the trio had been involved in criminal cases in the cities of Brewton and East Brewton. One of the juveniles that was already in custody, along with a fourth juvenile, were involved in stealing a truck from Pioneer Mobile Homes in East Brewton and stealing stereo equipment from two vehicles on Hwy 31 North, inside the city limits.
The fourth male juvenile was picked up in East Brewton and was taken into custody.
The seven cases that occurred in the county that were closed are as follows: two residential burglaries on Kirkland Road, a vehicle theft on Kirkland Road, a theft of a golf cart, three automobile burglaries on Highway 31 north at one location, one automobile burglary on Old Castleberry Road, and one automobile theft on Highway 31 North.
Only one juvenile was charged for all of these cases.
The other three juveniles were charged for the cases that they were involved with. All four juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Baldwin on Tuesday, June 15th.
