Support group will help those affected by hepatitis

Beginning this Tuesday, a new support group will be available to all Brewton area residents who live with hepatitis or liver disease, or who have a loved one with hepatitis or liver disease.
Hepatitis is Living Life! (HILL) was spearheaded by Tricia Knies of Brewton.
Besides providing support for those with hepatitis, Knies hopes HILL can raise public awareness of the disease and eventually hold a "testing day" for the public.

HILL will meet the first Tuesday of each month at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital, beginning July 6. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Strandell Conference Room.
Special guests will be Elvira Phillips withthe Alabama Department of Public Health and representatives from Hepatitis Education Awareness Liver Support (HEALS).
