Two locals in Esc. Co. Junior Miss top three

Jessie McKinley, a student of Escambia Academy and the daughter of Danny and Kathy McKinley, was chosen 2005 Escambia County Junior Miss Saturday night, July 17, 2004 at Jefferson Davis Community College.
She received an official medallion, a $2,000 cash tuition scholarship, a $200 cash award from Brewton Civic League and a gift certificate from Merle Norman Cosmetics. She also received a $250 tuition scholarship for winning the preliminary award for self-expression.
The first alternate was Charity Thompson, a student of W.S. Neal High School and the daughter of John and Marie Thompson. She received a $1,000 tuition scholarship and another $250 scholarship for winning the scholastic achievement award.
The second alternate selected was Elizabeth Rush, a student at T.R. Miller High School and the daughter of David and Bobalean Rush. She received a $500 tuition scholarship.
The other preliminary winners were Kaci Martin, a student at Atmore Christian and the daughter of Nathan and Susan Martin who won the Spirit of Junior Miss scholarship for $250; Jennifer Coleman, a student at Flomaton High School and the daughter of Hank and Gloria Coleman, won the Fitness scholarship for $250 and Cortney Edwards, a student at T.R. Miller High School and the daughter of Thomas Stallworth and Demeatress Edwards, won the Talent scholarship for $250.
