Huff announces candidacy for Brewton City Council

Mervin Huff has qualified to run for Brewton City Councilman in District Five Aug. 24, 2004. He is running for his fifth term of office having served for 16 years.
Huff has lived in District Five for the past 45 years and knows what the city needs. He is certified in all ranks to respond to the needs of the people in Brewton. He has the experience that is needed to help Brewton grow. He is accessible to anyone who has a problem and needs answers and with his 16 years of experience, he knows what is going on.
He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy.
He is a Mason, Scottish Rite, Shriner and a member of First Methodist Church of Brewton. He retired from Container Corporation after 35 years of service in 1985. He is single and has four children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He stresses how important he believes it is to vote and express your opinion.
