Mrs. Rose Hilda Harrelson Burgess, 69, died Friday, July 23, 2004 at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native of East Brewton and a former resident of Marietta, Ga. before moving back to Brewton in 1991. She was a member of East Brewton Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her mother, Isa Lee Harrelson of Montgomery; her husband, Jack Burgess of Brewton; two daughters, Angela Boutwell of Evergreen and Belinda Belbeck of St. Joseph, Mo.; two brothers, Shelby Harrelson of Austell, Ga. and Wally Harrelson of Marietta; one sister, Faye Kraker of Montgomery; one half-brother, Roger Harrelson of East Brewton; three step-brothers, Glenn Wyatt, Gene Wyatt and Harvey Wyatt, all of East Brewton; one step-sister, Lazzette Wiggins; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 26, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. C.L. Dyess and Speaker Lin Howland officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
