Ms. Barbara Smith, 75, died Saturday, July 31, 2004 in Crestview, Fla. She was formerly a resident of Rockford, Mich. Following the death of her father, she and her mother moved to Brewton to do missionary work. She attended Creston High School and Davenport Business School in Michigan and worked as a secretary in both Michigan and Alabama.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 6, at 4 p.m. at Pederson Funeral Home in Rockford with Rev. Louis Harvey officiating. Burial followed at Rosedale Memorial Park with Pederson Funeral Home directing.
