Mrs. Joyce "Joy" Elaine Lowery, 37, died suddenly Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004. She was a native of Lafayette, Ga., and a lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala. She was of the Baptist faith and a Registered Nurse.
She is survived by her mother, Bertha Kirby of Brewton; her husband, Shane Lowery of Brewton; one son, Spencer Camp of Brewton; two daughters, Shana Lowery and Sidney Camp, both of Brewton; a brother, Allen Kirby of Brewton; three sisters, Geraldine Cardwell of Chattanooga, Tenn., Billie Wright of Hixon, Tenn., Glenda Torres of Navarre, Fla., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Bounds officiating. Burial followed at Ridge Road Baptist Church Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
