Mrs. Ruth Chavers, 91, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004 at a Tuscaloosa hospital. She had lived most of her life in the Brewton area. She was a homemaker and a member of Happy Valley Holiness Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Gandy of Livingston; two sisters, Margaret Chavers and Hazel Kennedy, both of Brewton; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Lee Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
