East Brewton Mayor Terry Clark was so pleased with the outcome of Tuesday's municipal elections that he broke into song.
Clark, who was four votes short of a victory in the August municipal elections, defeated challenger Charles Fountain 397 to 282.
Clark, who has served three terms as East Brewton's mayor, said he was "tickled pink."
In East Brewton Council Place 1, incumbent Huey Johnson defeated challenger Bob Arrant, 387 to 290.
Johnson said he was pleased with the turnout and the vote.
In East Brewton Council Place 2, incumbent Kenny Hultz defeated challenger Priscilla Thomason West, 364 to 308.
Hultz, who has been recovering from surgery, said many people contributed to his win.
Hultz said the council must continue to work to attract more new businesses, in order to generate the revenue the city needs
In Place 5, Wayne Howard defeated incumbent Bettie Jo Jordan, 378 to 296.
Despite heavy traffic in East Brewton and the distraction of preparing for Hurricane Ivan, 681 people voted in Tuesday's election. That was just 15 fewer people than voted in the August 25th election.
