Residents of East Brewton lost water service during the storm, but service was restored Friday afternoon.
Mayor Terry Clark said the water was restored after the city got a generator to run the pumping station.
By that time, no one could get to East Brewton without "Cutting their way in," Clark said.
Clark and city workers went to Columbus, Miss., Thursday to purchase a generator.
Before the generator was operational Friday, he was still railing at state EMA workers about the problem.
