To the citizens of Brewton,
The citizens of Brewton should be thankful that their fire department is led by a chief with the professionalism of Chief Lawrence Weaver. I am a member of the Muscle Shoals, Ala., fire department, and our medium rescue team responded to Brewton to help with the clean up following Hurricane Ivan. Chief Weaver took time out of his hectic schedule to make us feel at home and offer any assistance we may have needed. His concern for the citizens and city showed every day. I would like to thank him for letting us be a part of the clean up efforts, it was a life changing experience.
