Miss Jackie Chavers, 41, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2004, in Atmore. She was a native of Mobile and a resident of Canoe since 1996. She attended the Baptist church and was preceded in death by her father, Jack Chavers.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Nola and Shirley Martin of Canoe; three brothers, Tony Chavers and Tim Chavers, both of Charleston, W.Va. and Greg Chavers of Fort Worth, Texas; her sister, Tracy Chavers Sells of Canoe and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Brown officiating. Burial followed at Canoe Freewill Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
