Red Cross seeks volunteers

The East Escambia Chapter of the American Red Cross is looking for volunteers for family service workers to do case work follow-up in the Brewton area.
Approximately 50 volunteers from across the country worked in the Brewton area in the two weeks following Hurricane Ivan. While immediate needs have been met, the process of recovery is ongoing and is expected to last for quite some time.
Those interested in volunteering may contact the Red Cross at 1-877-651-6421, or by calling the local office at 867-3426.
All American Red Cross disaster relief is free. To help victims of this and other disasters, residents may contribute to the disaster relief fund by calling 1-800-HELP NOW. Contributions also may be mailed to the East Escambia Chapter of the American Red Cross at P.O. Box 252, Brewton, AL, 36427; or to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, D.C., 20013.
