Mr. James Henry Hildreth Sr., 92, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. He was a native of Fulton, Ala., and a resident of Thomasville before moving to Brewton in 1946. He was a member of Brewton First United Methodist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II and a retired machinist from Precision Manufacturing.
She is survived by his wife, Helen May Hildreth of Brewton; a son, Jim Hildreth of Brewton; two sisters, Nell Stringfellow of Birmingham and Ruth Lowery of Thomasville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. at Union Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Scott and the Rev. Gary Daniel officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
