Brewton Youth Football sweeps Flomaton

All three Brewton Youth League football teams notched wins over Flomaton Saturday.
The Brewton Mini Mites posted a 27-0 win, as Dominique Jackson ran for more than 100 yards and scored three touchdowns. Quarterback Kieon Smith had a 35-yard touchdown run.
Damerius Smith, Jaylon Herbert and Michael Wood all had strong defensive games to lead the Mini Mites to the shutout.
The Brewton Mites also won by shutout against Flomaton with a 32-0 triumph.
Anthony Herbert rushed for more than 100 yards and scored a touchdown. Christian Purvis had a one-yard touchdown run, Austin Land had a five-yard touchdown run and Ricky Curry had a 25-yard touchdown run.
Randy Davis and Tyler Etheridge had three tackles to lead the Mites' defense.
The Brewton Midgets posted an 18-12 win over Flomaton.
Eddie Shufford had a 55-yard touchdown run and Jaren Jackson had a 35-yard touchdown reception.
LaTrae Williams, Percy Travis and Walter Smith led the defensive side.
Brewton' next games are Saturday. The Mini Mites play Navarre Black at 12 noon, the Mites play Bellview Gold at 1:30 p.m. and the Midgets battle A&G at 3 p.m.
