Mr. Charles H. Lambeth Jr., 76, of Pollard, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, in a Pensacola hospital. He was a native of Cantonment, Fla, and had been a resident of Pollard since 1968 coming from the McCall community. He had been a member of the Merchant Marines and was a retired truck driver for Escambia County, Ala. He was a member of Pollard United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn W. Lambeth of Pollard; two sons, Tony L. Lambeth of Pollard and Charles H. "Jr." Lambeth of the Little Rock community; one daughter, Mary Buesing of Pollard; two brothers, James Hartley Lambeth of Gulf Breeze, Fla, and Charles Connie Lambeth of Flomaton; five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Winston Jay and the Rev. Frank Scott officiating. Burial followed at Pollard Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Carl Lambeth, Nathan Lambeth, Joey Carnley, Brian Conway, Ed Cook, Darryl Fore and Mack Myrick. Honorary pallbearer was Tom Zaylas.
