Mrs. Inez C. Payton, 82, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at her residence. She was a native of Conecuh County and a resident of Century for many years. She was a retired cook for Century Elementary School and was preceded in death by her spouse, Paul Payton.
She is survived by a daughter, Fintress Bell of Century and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 8, from 1 to 8:30 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel and for one hour at the church prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church in Century with the Rev. Watson Pastor and the Rev. Koro Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Century Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
