Mr. Jehu Erston Dean, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, in a Pensacola health care facility. He was a native of Conecuh County and had been a resident of Byrneville since 1944 and had worked as a bookkeeper for 50 years for Dixie Sand and Gravel. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by a son, John Erston Dean of Pensacola, Fla.; two daughters, Barbara Ann Dean of Byrneville and Sandra Dean Wiggins of Tallahassee, Fla.; a brother, Judson Dean of Flomaton; a sister, Myrtice Acuff of Flomaton and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Horst officiating. Burial followed at Byrneville Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Frank Weaver, Darryl Fore, Mike Killam, Chris Wiggins, Gary Wiggins and John Dean.
