Mr. Willis Elbert "Pete" Thompson, 96, of Wallace Road, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Wallace. He was a member of Wallace Methodist Church and owned Thompson's Grocery in Wallace for 75 years.
He is survived by two sons, Ed Wayne Thompson and Willis Thompson, both of Wallace; three daughters, Rosemary Thompson Dixon and Lucy Thompson, both of Brewton, and Linda Thompson Tilley of Cullman; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 15, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Coburn officiating. Burial followed at Wallace Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
