Carra Ikner Green

Ms. Carra Ikner Green died at her residence Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, after an extended illness. She was a life-long resident of the Poarch community, a member of First Assembly of God in Atmore and a retired cafeteria worker with the Alabama education system. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth E. Green; her brothers, Lewis Ikner, Charles Ikner and Bobby Ikner and a sister, Harriet Smith.
She is survived by her children, Linda Miller of West Palm Beach, Fla., Judy Kirby of Poarch, William Earl Green of Pineville, La., Louise Stanford of Castleberry; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four great step-grandchildren; one great-great step-grandchild and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Davis officiating. Burial followed at McCullough Cemetery with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel directing. Pallbearers were Charles Wilson, Norman Wilson, Ray Biggs, Michael Stanford, Scott Stanford and Brian Green.
