Ms. Myrl Lee McClain, 60, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at her residence. She was a native and resident of Century. She worked as a dietary supervisor with the Atmore Community Hospital for more than10 years and also worked at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton and at Jay Hospital. She was affiliated with Edward Point Christian Church in Century and was preceded in death by her father, Howard Rue Sr.; her mother, Bessie Payne McClain and a sister, Mamie Hughes.
She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Madison and Pamala McClain, both of Century; five sisters, Barbara Wesley of Flomaton and Fannie Mae Carter, Ethel McMurray, Jean Crawford and Elizabeth Gee, all of Cleveland, Ohio; four brothers, Charles King of Hampton, Va., Elijah King and Pat King, both of Cleveland and Howard Rue Jr. of Vallejo., Calif.; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at Edward Point Christian Church with the Rev. Lamar Randal officiating. Burial followed at Century Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
