Mrs. Alma Cooper Martin, 62, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native and life long resident of Castleberry. She attended Appleton Assembly of God Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Joe Martin of Castleberry; two sons, Mark Edward Martin and Ronald Joe Martin, both of Castleberry; two daughters, Terri Woods of Uriah, and Lisa Martin of Dothan; four brothers, Burns "Pete" Cooper, Dewey Cooper, Douglas Cooper and Malcolm Cooper, all of Brewton; six grandchildren and five great-grancchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Grady Palmer officiating. Burial followed at New Hopewell Cemetery in Castleberry with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
