Mrs. Audrey Merle Scott Ballard, 83, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004 at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native of Turnersville, Texas, and a resident of Louisiana before moving to Brewton in 1973. She was a member of Brewton First Baptist Church, Eastern Star and a retired bookkeeper.
She is survived by a daughter, Leah Ballard Eskine of Metairie, La.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 2, at 11:30 a.m. at Smackover Cemetery in Smackover, Ark., with Young's Funeral Home of El Dorado, Ark., directing and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
