Beyer, Lee wed in double ring ceremony near Canoe

Anna Marie Lee and Nicholas Paul Beyer were united in marriage Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at 2 p.m. near Atmore. Lynn MacKenzie of Birmingham officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James and Cecilia Lee of Atmore and the granddaughter of Martha Lee of Atmore, the late James Lee, Marjorie Lalak of Atmore and the late Joseph Lalak. The groom is the son of Walter and Pat Beyer of Rocky Hill, Conn.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother in a ceremony held at her brother's veterinary clinic. She arrived in a vintage pickup truck that had belonged to her grandfather. She wore a ball gown of champagne satin with a cream lace overlay, a mantilla veil of cream organza and lace and carried a bouquet of red roses and seeded eucalyptus.
Lacey Lee, sister-in-law of the bride, of Atmore, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kenzie Jardina, friend of the bride, of Atlanta, Ga.; Carrie Miller, cousin of the bride, of Birmingham; Ingrid Grana, friend of the bride, of Houston, Texas; Lori Laney, friend of the bride, of New Orleans; Heather Takahashi, cousin of the bride, of Birmingham; and her dogmaid, Francis Pamela Lee. They wore red floor-length gowns and carried bouquets of red roses, gold daisies and seeded eucalyptus.
Attending the groom were Ansel Freniere, of Boston, Mass.; Scott Lieberman, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Jon Silk, of Chicago, Ill., and Paul Dean, of Seattle, Wash.
A selection of music by Tom Waits, big bands and Motown entertained the guests.
A reception was held immediately after the wedding.
The couple will reside in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
Parties
An after rehearsal party was held at David's Catfish House in Atmore hosted by the groom's parents.
The bride was given two bridal showers, one given by Kenzie Jardina, bridesmaid and one given by the bride's aunt Maria Sims, bridesmaid Carrie Miller and matron of honor, Lacey Lee.
