A team has several turning points throughout a season and now is one of those for the W.S. Neal Lady Blue Eagles.
After a 3-0 start, W.S. Neal has now dropped back-to-back games.
W.S. Neal suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday when it fell 45-31 at Pleasant Home.
A scoreless first quarter put the Lady Blue Eagles in a hole they never recovered.
Pleasant Home took a 9-0 lead in that frame and continued to lead throughout with quarter leads of 18-11 at halftime and 34-24 through three quarters.
The Lady Blue Eagles made just four field goals in the first half and only nine for the game.
"We played hard, but not hard enough long enough to win," W.S. Neal coach Angela Carr said. "We're at a key point in our season. How will we react to a loss?"
Brittany Tagudar and Tierra Andrews both had six points to lead W.S. Neal.
The Lady Blue Eagles dropped their Class 3A Area 1 opener Friday when they fell at home to Clarke County.
The Lady Bulldogs jumped out to an 18-7 lead after one quarter and continued to add to that advantage throughout the contest.
No scoring details were available at press time.
