For the first time, Hope Place is becoming an agency of the United Fund of Brewton and East Brewton.
ShaBarba Lewis-Williams said the funding will help Hope Place deliver a number of services to Brewton area residents.
One of those programs is parenting education.
Hope Place also has an after-school learning center, offers GED classes on Monday and Thursday nights, hosts a clothes closet and runs a program for parents of strong-willed children.
Hope Place is one of 15 agencies that will benefit from the $90,000 United Fund hopes to raise for 2005. United Fund asks citizens to give the equivalent of one hour's wages each month. Donations can be mailed to United Fund of Brewton and East Brewton at P.O. Box 34, Brewton, AL 36427.
