Mr. Robert William Peebles, 84, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at a local nursing facility after an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired truck driver with AAA Cooper with 27 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Syble Still Peebles of Brewton; a son, Sammy Peebles of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Bobbie Peebles Carter of Montgomery; two sisters, Margaret Taylor of Birmingham and Margie Quimby of Montgomery; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bert Bounds and the Rev. Ray Lane officiating. Burial followed at Still Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
