Mr. Jerrel G. Browder, 69, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004 in a local hospital. He was a native of the Brewton area and was a resident of Vancleave, Miss., for a number of years before returning to the Brewton area in 1997. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict serving in the U.S. Army. He was the director of the Home of Grace Rehabilitation Center for Men while in Vancleave. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a step-son, F.G. Ware of Vancleave; a brother, Daniel "Dan" Browder of Brewton; two sisters, Carolyn Dickens of Sumrall, Miss., and Katherine Peterson of Enterprise, and two nieces.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Barton and the Rev. Billy Barton Jr. officiating. Burial followed at May Creek Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
