Bonner, Folmer exchange vows

Wynter Bernanda Folmer and Tavokius Terril Bonner were married Oct. 16, 2004, at 5 p.m. at Second Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Cheatum officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William King and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Folmer, all of Brewton. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earlie R. Thomas ad the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Folmer. She is a graduate of Troy University and both she and the groom are employed in Troy.
The groom is the son of Martha Bonner and Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Bonner of Lanett. He is the grandson of Bertha Smith.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Bernard Folmer. She wore an ivory two-piece ensemble that featured a satin A-line gown and chiffon chapel length duster, accented with bugle beans and sequins. Her wore an ivory fingertip length veil with a tiera made with Sawarovski crystals and pearls. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of cream roses.
Her matron of honor was Ebony Stewart of Brewton and her maid of honor was Toujivanese Grissett of Atmore. The bridesmaids were Jakia Lowe, sister of the groom of Lanett; Sharonda Collins of Brewton and Heather King and Gwenda King, both of Brewton and sisters of the bride. They wore silver dresses in a variety of floor length styles and carried arm bouquets of cream roses.
The groom's best man was his brother, Demarco Farrow Sr. His groomsmen were Tobi Johnson, Barrett Askew, Carlos Thomas, General Thomas, Demetris Charlie and William J. King.
Aundre Johnson was the usher and the candlelighters were Monterius Culliver and Tavin Ingraham, both of Brewton and nephews of the bride. Flower girls were Amaiya Johnson and Jhayla Lowe, nieces of the bride and groom. The ringbearer was Demarco Farrow Jr., nephew of the groom. The program director was Mary Philyaw of Castleberry and Monica Floyd of Brewton was the musician.
For the processional of parents and grandparents, "Winds Beneath my Wings" was selected and "Ribbons in the Sky for Your Love" was played for the entrance of the bridal attendants. The bride entered to "You Are so Beautiful" and "The Lord's Prayer." The Recessional was "Always."
A reception was held at the Brewton Civic Center following the ceremony. Hostesses included Valerie Lovelace, Stephanie Stephens, Jessie Poindexter and Cassandra Grace.
After a honeymoon cruise to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will reside in Troy.
Parties
An after rehearsal party was hosted by the bride's father at Second Bethlehem Church.
A bridal brunch was hosted by Valerie Lovelace at Bethlehem Baptist Church Sept. 4, 2004, and a couple shower was hosted by Bridget Morast in Troy Oct. 2, 2004.
