Mr. Clifton James, 63, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004. He was a native and life-long resident of Atmore and attended Pine Level Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, William Earl James Sr., and a brother, William Earl James Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Pat James of Atmore; his son, Jonathan Earl James of Flomaton; two daughters, Cheryl Phillips and Julie Woods, both of Atmore; his mother, Carlie Mae Tennant James of Atmore; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip James and Bro. Kevin Fralick officiating. Burial will follow at Serenity Garden Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Gerald Johnson, Johnny Gibson, Jimbo Ashcraft, Ed Peacock, Dr. Bob Wade and Bob Bonner. Honorary pallbearers will be Arnold Lambert, Jack Guyton, Ray James, Tony James, Morton Cox, Billy Wayne Donald, Mike Staples, David McGhee, Wayne Baker and Harlan Brantley.
