Gerald Thomas Jerkins Jr., 44, of La Porte, Texas, died suddenly Dec. 26, 2004.
He was a native of Atmore and longtime resident of La Porte. He was of the Protestant faith, a tech manager for KBR Construction at Shell - Deer Park Refinery, and past secretary and member of the La Porte Masonic Lodge #857 A.F. &A.M.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda Jerkins of La Porte, Texas; his mother, Shirley (Cecil) Reams of Ortonville, Minn.; a daughter, Desiree (Steve) Byars of Dayton, Texas; a son, Justin Jerkins of La Porte, Texas; a sister, Renee (David) Bogunovich of Valparaiso, Ind.; three nieces, Elizabeth, Samantha, and Allyson, and other relatives.
Visitation was held Thursday, Dec. 30., in Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Services were held Friday, Dec. 31, in Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Jerkins officiating. Interment followed in Range Cemetery Range, Ala., with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton.
