Grace Chastain Butler passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at her home. She had been a resident of Jackson, Ala., for many years before moving to Pensacola 30 years ago. She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Woodrow Butler of Pensacola; sons Benny (Mary) Chastain, Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla.; Gaines C. "Bubba" (Gail) Chastain of Montgomery; stepsons Randy (Betty) Butler of Pensacola; Charlie Mack (Marie) Butler of Mobile; brothers Frank Bondurant and Dewey Bondurant, Sr., both of Flomaton, Ala., and Alfred Bondurant of Panama City, Panama; sisters Jewel Dean of Flomaton; Juanita Howell and Dawn Printy of Pensacola; and Willean Sales of Monroeville. She had 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at Flomaton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Keese and the Rev. Tim McKnight officiating. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. at Bethel Cemetery, Jackson, Ala., with the Rev. Jim Dufriend officiating, Flomaton Funeral Home Directing.
